A study in America has found that people who follow a Mediterranean Diet are a staggering 47% less likely to develop heart disease over a 10 year period.
This does not mean eating tons of pizza and pasta, both of which can lead to piling on the pounds. A true Mediterranean Diet is full of fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, fish, lean meats, olive oil and the occasional glass of red wine.
Our lunchtime presentation “Love Your Heart” covers the risk factors and the steps that you can take to reduce your risk of heart disease through diet and lifestyle changes. We follow this up with series of weekly emails for 6 weeks to consolidate the learning.
The talk can be combined with employee health checks, including cholesterol, blood pressure, weight and blood glucose.
