Many of my patients know what a huge fan I am of the foods that form part of a traditional Mediterranean Diet. This is typically a plant based diet, with lots of lovely vegetables and fruits, along with fish, lean meat, nuts and seeds and plenty of olive oil.

The Mediterranean Diet is often recommended to help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, and people with high blood pressure and high cholesterol can do well on this diet, particularly if combined with exercise and a healthier lifestyle.

A new paper that has been published in scientific journals has also concluded that the Mediterranean Diet may reduce the risk of breast cancer. This was based on a large study of women living in Spain. Click here for more information on this study.

If you are interested in hearing more about the Mediterranean Diet why not book our lunchtime seminar on cardiovascular health? Only £180. Call us now on 07966 478974 to book.
